I kept seeing signs of Super Bowl potential, Skip Bayless CLAIMS Dak Prescott can lead the Cow

Publish date: 2024-05-16

Dak Prescott has stunned everyone in the league this season. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback played good football and led his team to a 12-5 season and into the playoffs. But his performance hasn’t been consistent, to say the least. One week he would play at the highest level a QB can and the next week plays like a rookie throwing picks right and left.

His Week 18 performance against the Washington Commanders was worth every piece of criticism he received from analysts and fans. He completed only 38% of his passing attempts for 128 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception. He couldn’t get the offense going and faced a humiliating 26-6 defeat.

It was pretty much guaranteed that the Cowboys would lose, judging from their latest performance. But Rayne Dakota Prescott had the entire league tongue-tied as he wiped the floor with Tom Brady and his Buccaneers.

Dak Prescott can defeat the 49ers if he continues the same momentum

Prescott had a perfect game in the wild-card game as he went on to defeat Tom Brady, who hadn’t lost to the Dallas Cowboys during his entire 23-year-long career. Prescott threw for 305 yards, 4 touchdowns, zero interceptions, and even rushed for a touchdown. The 29-year-old quarterback had thrown his career-high 15 picks in the regular season but didn’t continue the trend in the postseason.

Die-hard Cowboys fan Skip Bayless was on cloud nine, seeing Dak Prescott tear through Tampa Bay’s defense and make a joke of them at their home ground. “I do believe I saw a different Dak,” Skip said on the latest episode of UNDISPUTED, talking about the quarterback’s performance against the Buccaneers on Monday night. “I saw a much better Dak than I have ever seen over seven years.”

“I saw somebody who had a complete command of that position in ways I’ve not seen before, who got a hold of it, who seized it by the throat. I kept seeing signs of Super Bowl potential. If they carry this momentum all the way across the country into San Francisco Stadium, they can beat San Francisco but he has to play at the level he played at Tampa,” Skip added.

Skip believes that the Cowboys can defeat the red-hot 49ers led by the latest sensation, Brock Purdy. Dallas’ defense has always been on point and they’ve hardly needed a pick-me-up. The offense, on the other hand, has cost the team matches and if Dak Prescott is able to repeat the same wild card performance, then maybe they can defeat the 49ers and advance to the NFC Championship game. Let’s see which Dak makes his appearance in the divisional round on Sunday.
