Guy Pearce: Hollywood actors Middle Park house with a backyard music studio snapped up
Hollywood star Guy Pearce’s Middle Park house has been snapped up for $8.65m.
The Geelong-raised actor, who was recently reportedly living in Amsterdam with his partner, Game of Thrones’ Carice van Houten, listed the four-bedroom pad at 341-343 Richardson St last month.
Pearce is famous for television and film appearances including Neighbours, The Adventures of Priscilla — Queen of the Desert, L.A. Confidential, The King’s Speech and Iron Man 3.

Jellis Craig Port Phillip’s Simon Gowling declined to comment on the price, but industry sources said the home sold for $8.65m — which sits within the $8.5m-$9.35m advertised price range.
Mr Gowling said a couple from the Mornington Peninsula bought the house on Friday, attracted by the block’s 748sq m size, position and orientation.
Pearce purchased two Edwardian-era properties, in 1995 and 2004, and connected them to create the one expansive home.
Joined at the centre with a central glass breezeway, the abode features leadlight windows, an office and sliding stacked doors which open to the garden with a fire pit and deck.
“There’s a fully soundproofed music studio out the back, which is very unique for the area,” Mr Gowling said.
“The garden has many native Australian plants and it feels like you’re in the bush, I think that’s what the previous owner (Pearce) wanted to achieve.”
Amazon Freevee and Prime Video last week released the official trailer for the iconic Australian drama Neighbours’ next iteration.
It showed Pearce will reprise his former role in the show as a guest star when the soap returns to the screen on September 18.
